New Classic played a key role in the Steigenberger Hotel Doha project, delivering exceptional GRG interior decorations that elevated the hotel's luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere.
In 2019, New Classic undertook the prestigious GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum) interior decoration works at the Steigenberger Hotel in Doha, Qatar, in collaboration with the esteemed design firm Unique Design. Located in one of the most luxurious areas of Doha, the Steigenberger Hotel represents a fusion of modern architecture and refined interior aesthetics. Our team at New Classic was committed to ensuring that the hotel's interiors echoed this sophistication through high-quality, innovative GRG solutions.
The Steigenberger Hotel project aimed to combine the elegance of traditional Qatari aesthetics with a contemporary international touch. The design concept was centered around creating an environment that radiates luxury, comfort, and artistic charm. The expansive 10,000 m² space allowed for creative liberty to construct breathtaking interiors that harmonized with the hotel's overall architectural structure. This involved using GRG as a primary material to construct intricate designs that exuded both durability and elegance.
Glass Reinforced Gypsum (GRG) was chosen for its versatility, strength, and aesthetic appeal. GRG allowed us to craft intricate details with precision, bringing to life the unique design concepts envisioned by the client. Its lightweight properties and high durability made it an ideal material for the hotel's grand interiors, enabling us to achieve smooth, curved finishes and intricate moldings. Our skilled artisans meticulously worked with GRG, creating elegant patterns and structures that complemented the hotel's luxurious theme.
The hotel lobby, one of the most striking spaces in the building, showcases grandeur with soaring ceilings adorned with custom-designed GRG elements. The use of high-quality chandeliers alongside GRG decorations created an opulent ambiance, with the large windows enhancing the lighting and openness of the space. The seating arrangements, flanked by subtle yet refined GRG wall designs, contribute to the welcoming atmosphere of the lobby, setting the tone for a memorable guest experience.
In the dining areas, GRG played a crucial role in defining the spaces. The circular dining booths, enveloped by GRG pillars, add a sense of intimacy and exclusivity. The gentle curves of the GRG structures, combined with the elegance of the green velvet chairs, create a sophisticated, luxurious look that resonates with the hotel's brand. Our team ensured that each detail, from wall textures to ceiling patterns, contributed to an immersive dining experience, seamlessly blending with the overall design aesthetic.
Throughout the hotel, GRG was used to craft accent walls and ceiling details, adding depth and texture to various spaces. These elements, carefully designed and installed by our experts, create visual interest without overwhelming the rooms. This minimalist yet luxurious approach reflects modern design trends, which focus on blending functionality with refined elegance.
The Steigenberger Hotel project presented unique challenges, particularly in the design and installation of the GRG elements on a large scale. The complexity of creating flawless, continuous patterns across vast spaces required meticulous planning and coordination. To address these challenges, we developed customized GRG molds and relied on precision engineering to ensure seamless transitions between panels. Additionally, our team maintained close communication with Unique Design to ensure that every aspect of the installation aligned with their vision for the project.
The GRG interior decoration works at the Steigenberger Hotel Doha stand as a testament to New Classic's commitment to excellence in luxury interiors. This project highlights our ability to integrate traditional craftsmanship with modern design elements, delivering spaces that not only look stunning but also enhance the overall guest experience. With a focus on quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal, our GRG work at the Steigenberger Hotel has set a new standard in hospitality design, combining innovation with elegance in every detail.
